When the Love Story, Bridal Event and Magazine approached me about shooting a “Modern Bride” portrait session, I jumped at the chance. Finding a location that provided a “modern” feel is not an easy task in Gainesville, Florida. I had recalled seeing a local magazine shoot in a parking garage on campus and hesitantly said; well this could be an “option” for us. We ended up shooting outside of the McKnight Brain Institute and in the parking garage right next door. The location fit perfictly with clean lines and industural touches.
While meeting with their creative team and talking more about what we were trying to achieve I knew the perfect couple to shoot. Kristina and Mike are adorable, charismatic and photogenic making them the perfect models for our shoot. To top it all off they are outgoing and were ready to jump in and model for us. Kristina got to meet us at WeCycle to try on some fabulous gowns to find the perfect fit. Mike joined our team at Men’s Warehouse to be fitted for his perfect modern tux.Like most days in Florida it was hot and muggy but these two rocked it out for the camera! It was so much fun shooting with friends and I am super excited with how the photos turned out.
A few months after this session these two got engaged for real!! How awesome is that. I am so excited for them and wish them all the best in love and life. Mike and Kristina, thank you for making photo magic with me. I look forward to photographing you two again soon!

I love watching my baby clients grow and become little people! Capturing them in their own element is always my favorite way to document them grow. Here are a few photos of two of my favorite babies, Caroline and Noelle. They were born one day apart at the North Florida Regional Medical Center. Their Mom’s became friends at the North Florida Woman’s center Postpartum Luncheons. Watching them interact is always fun.
